Titans

August 27, 2013

Wind is wailing thrashing cutting through the night, rain a willing companion wildly clattering

Trees bending in honour of these Titans crashing swathes amongst them

Strength has no meaning as destruction takes it toll

Yet glistening in the dawn of day all is calm once more ready to revive and grow

Forgetting the carnage and willing to forgive

Stretching to the warmth of rays struggling through crisp and clear

All is a trick a rouse to keep them unaware of continued abrasion

Hiding in the peace and quiet the Titans bide their time

Knowing another night will soon be born igniting winters bidding

Fury always the willing companion

  4. Hi there, so happy Jen led me to you. I thought of Greek mythology immediately. Did it have any influence? The Titans were indeed destructive, carnage everywhere. The battle between Olympians and Titans, huge. I then re- read and saw it in a different light, personally I love that you have many interpretations in one and it flows so beautifully, Well done.
